Answers
myLog has no account, no sign-in and no servers, and your logbooks never reach us. What comes up most is answered here, and the Privacy Policy is on this site in full. Anything about a payment or a refund is handled by Apple.
Questions
The ones that come up
Where are my logbooks stored?
Wherever you chose when you created your vault: in a folder called “myLog” in your own iCloud Drive, on your device only, or in a folder you picked. They’re ordinary Markdown and JSON files, so you can open them in the Files app, Finder or any text editor, even without myLog.
Can Alumbus Labs see my logbooks?
No. myLog has no accounts and no servers. Your records are never sent to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I sync between my iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Choose iCloud when you create your vault and make sure each device is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on. On another device, open myLog and it finds your vault automatically (“Found in your iCloud”).
If you started with a vault on one device only, you can move it to iCloud in Settings › tap the profile › Move Vault.
Does myLog work offline?
Yes. With no signal, new entries and photos are saved on your device and sync when you’re back online.
What happens if I edit the same entry on two devices?
myLog keeps both versions, so you can choose which one to keep. Nothing is overwritten silently.
I deleted an entry by mistake. Can I get it back?
Yes. Deleted entries and logbooks go to the Trash first, where you can restore them.
How do I back up or export my records?
Export any list as a CSV spreadsheet or a PDF report, or create a full backup of a vault in one tap. Because your vault is a normal folder, you can also copy it anywhere you like.
How do I bring in records from another app or a spreadsheet?
Use Add Entries with AI. It gives you written instructions to paste into the AI assistant of your choice, which turns your old notes or spreadsheets into myLog entry files that you can then import.
myLog itself doesn’t contain AI and doesn’t send anything anywhere. Only share with an AI service what you’re comfortable sharing.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. Turn on App Lock in Settings to require Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode.
Is myLog accepted for official records?
myLog is a personal record-keeping tool. Check what your licensing authority, club or professional body requires for official logbooks and records.
Which devices does myLog run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 18 or later, and Mac with macOS 15 or later. One purchase covers all three.
